I received a call this evening at approx 2100 hours to inform me that our Deputy Editor, the Corsham Crusader has been arrested.
The call was made to me by Detention Officer Jules Haslem from the telephone number of Melksham Police Station at the request of the Corsham Crusader to let me know where he was.
Haslem refused to give details of his arrest but I did learn by questioning that he had been physically arrested at 6.30 pm and being held pending an interview. I asked if he had a solicitor and if the solicitor was with him now. They said that the Solicitor would not be at the station until the interview took place. I advised them that they had better make it very quick and I also asked that the solicitor be instructed to call me after he spoke to the Crusader. They said he would not do it, I requested that they at least ask.
The number of the station where Corsham (Mark Kennedy) is being held is 01225 794752 and I ask that you call to enquire as to his well being.
If the site vanishes or no news update then you will know then I also have been arrested.
UPDATE AT 22:44
I would like to thank all of you have phoned the station.
I also believe that the police have attempted to hack into this site using the Corsham Crusaders account at 2012-09-06 21:55:52 when we know that he is still in police custody. His account has now been disabled.
UPDATE AT 23:55
Called the station and asked for news on Mark Kennedy. Was informed none to politely that the investigation is continuing. I asked if that meant Corsham was being intervied and was told again the investigation continuing.
After several responses considering what time he would be released I was told that depended on their enquiries. I asked how long they could hold him for and was told 24 hours.
I then asked if when Mr Kennedy was arrested did the police take into their possesion his computer. He said that he would not give me that information.
I then informed him that my name was Paul Morris and I am the Editor of the British Resistance and that if Mr Kennedy was in custody then someone had used his machine to logon to the site using his passwords and therefore the computer had possibly been stolen.
He said that it was not their concern and to report it to another number. Try finding a number to ring on the Wiltshire police site. None there. I then asked for him to transfer me so I could report the possible theft but he refused to do so and the conversation ended.
UPDATE 00:20
Corsham Crusader has phoned me. He has been released on bail and has to make his own way home. What is strange is that if they did not take his computer then who logged into our system?
He has been charged with a malicious communiction (that is also posted on this site) and once I have spoken in detail we will decide what action to take.
They also asked him who Paul Morris was and told him that I was a nasty piece of work. I take that as a compliment.
