Democracy Forum - Not good enough

I see that the recent article concerning Anthony Butcher of the Democracy Forum has triggered him into responding in our comments section where I have replied to him.

However, I have just been notified of a recent new thread on the Democracy Forum called Libellous Postings and quite frankly it is just not good enough or acceptable to any person who has been libelled on Butchers vile site.

He or his mouthpiece writes that libel will not be tolerated on the Democracy Forum - well neither will it be tolerated by this site, neither will his weasel word excuses to evade his responsibilities whilst his site continues to publish libellous comments about me.

Just as I and the Corsham Crusader are responsible for the content and comments of this site, so to is Anthony Butcher responsible for the comments on his site and from now on we intend to remind him of his duties and responsibilities.

Check out these points that were made in the Libel article.

• Owners/mods cannot view all posts. All complaints regarding post content must be made using the 'complaints' area. Complaints made through any other channel (email or PM) are 'unofficial' and may not receive any attention.
• Posters are responsible for content of their posts and should be in a position to stand by any of their claims through publicly providing proof of any allegation. (i.e "I have an original e-mail" is no good if you won't/can't post it)
• Unsubstantiated 'facts' which may be potentially libellous may be snipped without reference to the original poster.
• Threats of legal action against the forum, the owner or moderators will result in an instant, permanent ban. From that point on, we will no longer respond to any communication other than official legal documents.

You arrogant pup Butcher.  So you libel someone and then when quite rightly, they threaten you with legal retribution, you say you will ban them and that you will not respond to any communications.  Yeah right.  Well we shall see about that.

I think that soon I may be publishing some of the more vile comments that have been posted on your site and also sending them to your Parish Council, as I consider that you are bringing them into disrepute by allowing such libellous bile to be posted on YOUR site.

This of course will make an excellent local news story and so I will of course,  provide the same information to all local newspapers in your area and provide "real evidence" to show that you and your moderators must have been aware of what was being posted.

Should it prove necessary, I will then, have printed enough leaflets for every one of Long Ashton's population of 4,981 and have them delivered to every home in Ashton providing a detailed resume of you and your site.

Now no more squirming Butcher.  Sort it out or go head to head with me.
