According to Richard Littlejohn in Tuesday’s Daily Mail, ‘If the opening ceremony at the Olympics demonstrates anything, it is that Britain is now a country at ease with itself and its inhabitants from a multitude of ethnic backgrounds.’
No it doesn’t. Britain is in fact disintegrating along ethnic lines under our very eyes. And not just whites versus the rest either. As Alasdair Palmer observed in the Daily Telegraph, ‘The highest levels of segregation recorded anywhere in the UK are those between Indians and Pakistanis in towns in the north of England. Those towns also exhibit a markedly higher degree of segregation between blacks and Asians than between whites and blacks’.
A nation ‘at ease with itself’? What balderdash
What the Olympic Opening Ceremony Demonstrates
What the opening ceremony did demonstrate is that the leftist Political Class continues to be in charge of the public culture and uses it to propagandise its marxist ideology on occasions such as this.
This ceremony was a celebration of leftism, multiculturalism and multiracialism. It lampooned the risk taking, dynamic individuals who helped to bring about the Industrial Revolution as smug, top-hatted oppressors and lyingly included blacks and orientals among them, an echt example of Minitrue re-writing of history to suit the official multiracial ideology. it triumphed the 60's cultural revolution which is continuing to destroy tradtional, patriotic moral Britain and bring it down to the level of the Third world.
Of course, Littlejohn pulls his usual trick of oiling up to multiculturalism and multiracialism whilst simultaneously having ago at a politically correct target, using his acceptance of the former as a cover for the latter. In this case the target is the Equality Commission, run by his ‘old friend’ Trevor Phillips, who ‘richly deserves’ a knighthood. Talk about having your cake and eating it too!!!
As he correctly points out, that ‘because all those who lose their jobs (as a result of cutbacks in the Commission) are by definition, from minority backgrounds, they claim their dismissal would be illegal under Harriet Harman’s ridiculous, viciously anti–native British ‘Equality Act’.
However Littlejohn fails to notice that the very fact that an overwhelming majority of the Commission’s staff are ethnic minority is itself racially discriminatory in the extremist degree. And this is down to his ‘old friend’ who ‘ richly deserves’ a knighthood, Trevor Phillips.
Charles Moore: Another Political Class Nincompoop who believes his own Propaganda.
To be fair to Littlejohn, he is not the only member of the political class who likes to have it both ways. Charles Moore in the Daily Telegraph, whilst musing that there ‘lies an uneasy feeling that London is ceasing to be umbilically British. If this is a place where a third of the births are to parents not born in this country, if this is Londonistan, or Londongrad, does it have any unity? How would it survive the strain of economic disaster, let alone of physical attack?’ goes on to argue that, taking the ‘long view,’ it is better that London should be ‘adventurous’ even if people like himself, as he admits don’t want to live in it.
Well, London might have changed in the past, but one aspect of it remained a constant: it was overwhelmingly populated by the native British. Would we have the London of today any other way than it is now? asks Moore. Yes we would.
Especially those who like him would prefer to live somewhere else but unlike him cannot afford it and must take the short term view of their daily lives rather than the ‘long’ one. Especially those East-Enders ethnically cleansed with the advent of mass immigration (Ethnic Cleansing in East London ... The New East End by Kate Gavron, Geoff Dench and Michael Young. (Profile Books, £15.99).
Especially those for whom a visit to London is increasingly like visiting a rather unpleasant foreign country - a country which is expanding across the M25 and into the kind of area where Charles Moore now lives.
The ‘Long View’. An alternative Perspective
Well, what about the ’long view’? The London of yesteryear; the London of Chaucer, Shakespeare, Dr Johnson, Dickens and the rest – that London was the capital city of the English, the seat of their monarch and their Parliament.
The new, increasingly dangerous London which according to Moore is exciting and which we wouldn’t want to have any other way is, we are assured by our political masters who have brought it about, a ‘World City’. As such it belongs to anyone and so to no one, certainly not the British. It is anywhere and it is nowhere.
When it finally loses its last traces of true Britishness; when those sad, lingering remnants of an older, English past, the pearly kings and queens are to be found only in the history books, which will be written by the successors of the English; when it is dominated by minarets rather than church spires, then so far as the native British are concernd it will have completely lost its soul and its significance for them except as a monument to betrayal. And after London it will be the turn of the rest of Britain.
Then that Political Class betrayal of the people of this country will be complete
