piggieRight then, before we start I have to tell you straight that I love Pigs.  Not in the same way that, being a Welshman I love sheep but in a gastronomical way.

Bacon, belly pork, chops, hams, etc.  There is no finer meat than that of a dead pig.  Back last year at the British National Party's Indigenous Forum Family Weekend they had a pig roast.  Fantastic.  Hot chunks of pork and crispy crackling.  I could have eaten the whole pig.  In fact it has been said about me that I will in fact eat one more potato than a pig - but that is only true if the potato is served up with a nice piece of pork.

Well our pig farming industry along with other meat production is in serious trouble and it has been for quite awhile.  Of course there may well be a political motive.  It does not suit the New World Order plans for Our Country to be able to feed its people.  Much easier for them to starve us into submission if we start getting uppity by electing a patriotic party to government.

He recalls that agriculture was perceived as an old-fashioned, tired industry that was the source of big problems to the environmentand a risk to the economy when he became president of the NFU in 2006.

The combined weight of bad news about BSE, foot-and-mouth disease, environmental damage and grain mountains was compounded in his view by the attitude to farming of the last Labour government before Hilary Benns appointment as Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Secretary.

The old Labour view was: Were a rich country and we can buy our food wherever we want. When you see whats going on in Pakistan and Russia today, its bloody immoral to think that were a rich country and can just go and buy everybody elses food.

I think we have a moral duty to consider how the UK can produce as much as possible, whilst not damaging the environment and becoming more sustainable. We have to produce as much food as we can on this island.

Now, rocketing feed prices are pushing up the cost to farmers of producing pigs.  Farmers are losing more than £21 on every pig they sell.  In the weeks before Christmas, pig producers racked up losses of nearly £25 million.

Pig farmers are now facing major financial losses and many are in danger of going out of business and what will patriotic pig eaters do then?  Eat halal meat?

And who is helping to close down our pig farms other than the government?  Well the supermarkets are still reporting record profits that they use to buy up Our Countryside and forests.  These supermarkets must be made to pay pig producers a fair price - before it's too late and bacon butties vanish from our shores.

Help the Pig Farmers in their struggle and please go here to the Pigs are Still Worth it site and sign their petition asking for fair play.  Also cascade this article or at least email on the petition website address to friends and colleagues for them to sign the petition also.

You can also do your patriotic duty by eating a pig today or at least part of one.  I shall go the whole hog myself to show my support for the people who bring home the bacon for us.
