albionWay back in time or so it seems, I remember when I first put out an appeal on the first Home of the Green Arrow blog for writers to join me and post their articles on the site, I despaired of any person stepping up to the plate.  I need not have feared for I found a real diamond.

The first to respond was a young woman, who to this day I have no idea of her real identity and neither do I wish to, it was Sarah: Maid of Albion, I remember that she asked for time to think about the name she would write under.

Since then, Sarah has written so many superb articles for the Green Arrow sites and this one, as well as finally opening up the Sarah:Maid of Albion blog which has a large following around the world, with some of her work being published in overseas magazines.

Over the years, I could always count on Sarah to let me know when perhaps I had gone too far or expressed myself in an inappropriate manner during moments of stress and I accepted her criticism in the manner in which it was intended - sensible and well meaning.

Well some great news in last night.  I received an email from Sarah's lucky husband, informing me that  Sarah has recently given birth to a young fair haired baby boy.  This means that their other son now has a new baby brother - which is great.  I hope that the boys have the same enduring friendship and love for each other that I share(d) with my brothers.

Sarah is doing fine, Dad is pleased as punch and the young baby boy is still awaiting a name.  Arthur would be nice but take no notice of me Sarah.

Please take the time to go over to Sarah's site and leave a comment wishing the happy family well.  Her husband will pass the messages on.

Congratulations and thank you for being my friend, Sarah:Maid of Albion
