Jonathan Bowden - Revolutionary Patriot 1962 - 2012

I have just read that Jonathan Bowden passed away on March 29th, 2012 of a heart attack just two weeks before his 50th birthday.
I do not know what shocked me most. The news of his death or the fact that it took four weeks for details of the passing of this Revolutionary Giant to filter out to the wider world.
You can read all about Jonathan's short but interesting life over on the Wikipedia site for now, but I am sure that someone will produce a more detailed and lasting tribute for him that his memory deserves.
I had the pleasure of listening to Jonathan speak on several occasions and he was quite simply brilliant. Wearing his trademark Odal Rune medallion, he could talk on any subject with authority and his ability to recall obscure facts and statistics was amazing and there are going to be all so many people grieving over Jonathan's untimely death.
Now this is meant as a compliment. In some of his speeches he could come across as a cross between a deadly Dalek and the Borg with regards to his opinions on what would be necessary for the British People to reclaim their country and he certainly inspired his listeners.
One quotation made by Jonathan who was my kind of intellectual was....
“Truthfully, in this age those with intellect have no courage and those with some modicum of physical courage have no intellect. If things are to alter during the next fifty years then we must re-embrace Byron’s ideal: the cultured thug.”
Well there was no doubting Jonathan's courage and were all nationalist intellectuals like him, I would sit at their feet and listen and act on what they had to to say.
Now is not the time for us to talk about Jonathan's involvement and the reasons for his leaving the British National Party - maybe another time. For now let us just remember him the way he was in the following video clip where he speaks about Julius Evola:
Thank you Jonathan.
