I have just finished reading The Secret History of the World by Jonathan Black. The well researched novel is a timeline of the various secret societies and their impact on the world.
I was particularly interested on its take on Freemasonry, and the people who rule the world.
I know from previous research that there are many secret societies out there. There have been thousands in fact, both good and bad. However, we must be careful to note the differences between the societies, groups, and orders.
I took particular time to ponder an anomaly, in the fact that Nationalists do not like Freemasons, yet many Freemasons have been great Nationalists!
The book explains quite well how secret societies have ancient origins, esoteric codes and mystic revelations. It is world history through the eyes of a secret society.
In Freemasonry for example the year is 6012 AL dated from the creation of the world.
I found it interesting that in Europe the Rosicrucian's played such a major role in the founding of Freemasonry, and they were active politically during the Thirty Years War, (P452) a period which saw the population of Germany fall from 9 million to less than 5 million. There continued to be many other secret societies at work most notably the co-fraternities.
The secret societies in Europe centred on the struggle between the Pope and Martin Luther, especially in battles of the Thirty Years War, such as the Battle of White Mountain.
The struggle in the secret societies was as deadly with the Protestant Rosicrucian's in competition with the Jesuit Catholics. The Pope even issued a Papal Bull outlawing Freemasonry, because it recognised God and not the Pope.
In Europe there were thousands of secret groups, and two noted in the book are the Illuminati and OTO.
In Europe famous Freemasons included:
Kamal Ataturk - Turkish Nationalist was a member of an Italian lodge
Giuseppe Garibaldi - Italian Nationalist was a member of US and Italian lodges
Alfred Von Tirpitz - German Nationalist was a member of a German lodge
In the USA the story of freemasonry is even stranger, but amongst the obvious George Washington we find:
James Bowie - Died at the Alamo
David Crockett - Died at the Alamo
and more poignantly Lewis A Armistead and Winfield Scott Hancock
and Nathan Bedford Forrest
Scottish Freemasons surmise incorrectly that the Knights Templar founded freemasonry in Scotland, and England founded the lodge in 1717.
Included in their ranks are:
Edmund Burke - Irish Nationalist
Rudyard Kipling - English Nationalist
RJ Mitchell - Designer of the Spitfire
Lord Nelson - of Trafalgar fame
Arthur Duke of Wellington - of Waterloo fame
So the question I asked myself was, how can so many nationalists and patriots be members of such an organisation?
I found the answer in chapter 26 of the novel.
The answer is quite simple and involves the Illuminati.
The Illuminati was founded in 1776 by Adam Weishaupt, he joined Freemasonry in 1777, and was joined by many of his followers, who quickly infiltrated the lodges in Austria and beyond.
This is already known by many Nationalists, what was not known by me was the fact that Jacob Lanz was killed in 1785. On his body was found the manifesto of the order. Which was to renounce God and religion, and create the perfect materialistic society.
Their starting point was France
In 1789 France contained 70,000 Freemasons, of which many key people had been illuminated. Among those which they consider to be members of the Illuminati were:
Danton, Robespierre and Guillotin
As a result of the revolution of 1789, many thousands of Freemasons were put to death by their former brethren in the Illuminati.
Robespierre even executed Danton on the machine that bore Guillotin's name!
He was eventually killed by the mob and sent to Madame Guillotine in the blue robes of the Illuminati.
The Russian Revolution is also covered, and of note is the origins of Marxism, founded on the guiding principles of the Illuminati and Weishaupt. Marx, Engles and Trotsky were Freemasons, and Lenin was a 31st degree Freemason.(p532)
Hitler is also covered, and it is worth pointing out that he persecuted Freemasons. Not because of who they were, but because he persecuted all occultists. Because he believed in the occult.
In conclusion, I found it a heavy but interesting book and from it I can surmise the following.
The world is full of secret societies, some of which are working in a mystic fashion.
Here is my take on a sort of timeline
1776 - Illuminati founded
1789 - Illuminati instigate the French Revolution (fails)
1917 - Illuminati instigate the Russian Revolution (succeeds)
1953 - Illuminati ideas lead to Cultural Marxism
1970 - Illuminati ideas lead to Political Correctness
I also mentioned OTO which is short for Ordo Templi Orientis which was founded as a secret society by the occultist Aleister Crowley
The occult and devil worship feature in many of the left wing influenced secret societies
I could be wrong but consider this. The Illuminati, not Freemasons are the true Masters of the World. The proof is in the ascendance of Cultural Marxism/Political Correctness and the attack on our own culture and heritage. All consistent with Illuminati teachings.
In the UK the leader of anti-Masons is Jack Straw here. Since 1997 he has been committed to the replacement of the Judges, to the extent of which we can see on Judgewatch.
In France the Grand Orient de France broke from English Freemasonry to allow for no belief in God (1877), it was also instrumental in founding the left wing Republican Party.
