Britain First to Launch New Patriotic Political Party

Well whilst some people talk about doing something or organise endless meetings and conferences to discuss doing something, other people just get on with it and do something and in this case it is Britain First - again.
They have today announced the launch of a new political party in an email to all their members and supporters - and I for one welcome the news.
On a personal level, I was never happier than when I was publishing news of political street activities and local council elections being fought by brave activists and hopefully this site will soon be reporting daily on the activities of the new Britain First Party - although I understand the name of the party has yet to be published.
Now whilst this site does seem to report more on Britain First and their leading people than others, that is simply because their people are prepared to come to the British Resistance paltalk room and answer the questions put to them directly.
They did not shy away from those questions in the way that the BNP did or stay away from the room because they were stupid enough to listen to the lies spread about myself and this site by people I now believe to be working to a different agenda than that of true patriots.
However, support for Britain First will be not be unconditional in the same way that this site once reported on the BNP - that has been betrayed by its leaders. This site will be watching them like a hawk and will ask questions and make observations on their performance. In fact I know that the new party would welcome such attention.
The salient points are copied from their site.
- This new political party will not replace Britain First - rather it will act as the political wing of our movement.
- Britain First will take care of the provocative, non-electoral campaigning and agitation and the political party will concentrate on fighting elections, mainly at local level.
- The registration process with the Electoral Commission has already begun.
- Our volunteers and officers are hard at work building on our existing countrywide framework to facilitate the expansion of a new national patriotic party.
- We will make an announcement shortly, as soon as the registration process has concluded.
- This is a new beginning for British nationalism: we now have a serious, competent and corruption free alternative that is capable of fighting and winning on our terms.
- The process of building a new political party will be hard work, but we have the skills, the infrastructure, the organisation and the framework already in place with Britain First to propel us ahead of all challengers.
- There will, however, be some significant differences between our new party and any previous incarnations.
- Firstly, we will have a democratic constitution that is a complete departure from the dictatorial and disaster-prone approach of the past.
- Whilst we abhor committee rule (which always descends into farce, impotence and factionalism) we also observe that a virtual dictatorship or rule by a clique will never work.
- Thus our new constitution provides a happy medium between these two extremes: combining accountable competent leadership and a ruling body with varying executive powers.
- Secondly, we intend to enforce a strict policy of zero-tolerance of cranks, extremists and political hobbyists who bring our party into disrepute.
- Thirdly, we are totally committed to restoring trust by producing transparent, professional and robust financial systems and accounts for our party and submit them to the authorities within official deadlines.
- Our new constitution provides for autonomous accounting units:
- Sub-national treasurers (one for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) will be elected at our annual conference, thus making them accountable and keeping them 'on their toes' and legally responsible for their local members' money.
- They will also operate their own bank accounts and be responsible to the Electoral Commission directly.
- This practise is the 'norm' for all mainstream political parties and will guarantee a high degree of financial probity.
- It is time to stop sitting on the fence and hoping for better times.
- It is time to grasp this opportunity and prove to the country and the establishment that underestimating our movement will be a costly mistake.
- All genuine nationalists are welcome in our new political party, and a warm welcome awaits you when you make the final step and decide to join.
Well those are the main points and we will report more as we receive information. Will I be joining? Well the answer is no - I will give the reasons why in another article.
Who will the new Chairman be? Well my money is on Paul Golding although I would be equally happy were it to be Andy McBride. Both of them are presentable, articulate, intelligent and fiercely patriotic. Jim Dowson, who also has all of the above attributes might just be a bit too outspoken for some and his skills would be better employed in raising funds and keeping the new party on the straight and narrow.
