Panorama: An alternative viewpoint from Paul Golding

The forthcoming Panorama programme has thrown nationalism into consternation and angst. Why? Is it treason for nationalists to have taken part? Why has it created such a stir?

We need to examine all the dynamics and parameters and then reach a decision like ADULTS, and we need to avoid the SENSATIONALISM that only benefits those with something to hide.

Firstly, what EXACTLY is the forthcoming Panorama programme?

What we do know for DEFINITE is this: it is an exposé of the financial mismanagement, corruption and incompetence of Nick Griffin, and his manipulation of the nationalist movement to the benefit of himself and his family.

It is NOT an international Zionist/establishment/Mossad/Common Purpose/state/media/Searchlight plot to destroy Nick Griffin before he romps into Downing Street as he keeps (ludicrously) claiming.

Nor is it an attack on the wider nationalist movement, although in exposing the shenanigans of Griffin/Harrington there is no doubt our cause will be tarnished slightly, but the REAL BLAME lies in the actions of Nick Griffin.

Should decent patriots remain silent and cover everything up, again?

I don’t think so - evil thrives in the dark.

Surely as we fight for our nationalist survival in this country it’s time to shine a light on those who have used our loyalty and silence cynically to continue in their exploitation of our movement and our people.

Look at the damage Mr. Griffin has already caused to our movement, our people, our businesses, and reputation.

Are we to believe that the spotlight of truth should be switched off lest this man’s disgraceful behaviour becomes public knowledge?

How would silence and cover up help our cause? Is this not what has allowed the likes of Griffin and Harrington to flourish for so long as parasites on the back of good people? AND given them an opportunity to run our movement into the ground.

Many nationalists, all of them with years of dedicated service under their belts, HAVE been interviewed and ARE taking part in Panorama either on camera or in the background just as many are actively helping the police with several serious investigations into fraud, deception, blackmail, false accounting and a few other ongoing allegations against leading figures within the BNP.

Are these nationalists to be condemned for giving the police and/or the media their honest and full accounts of alleged serious crimes against our movement and the exploitation of decent patriots whose time, trust and money has been so shamefully abused and wasted?

The vast bulk of these nationalists are former ‘inner circle’ party employees NOT Nick Griffin’s personal praetorian guard.

They owe it to the officers, members and supporters to come clean and many feel ashamed that they never spoke out sooner.

These people have many years - some even decades - of indefatigable and impressive service to nationalism under their belts.

THEY HAVE NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF.

The guilty people like Griffin/Harrington/Jefferson will try to malign those who have decided to speak out.

Why have they taken so long to come forward?  Simple: fear of attack by us, the movement, as a collective (that means you and me).

Because other nationalists blindly attack any action that puts our cause in a bad light, many would rather see the corruption continue than risk the public’s reaction when they see the truth.

This is exactly how cult leaders and con-artists mould the mindset of their victims.

We are all victims of Mr. Griffin in some way. The entire Diaspora of British nationalism has been hoodwinked into silence, and anyone daring to whistle blow has been attacked collectively by us all in the past.

This is how Griffin/Harrington has managed to hijack our entire movement.

We need to break free from this cult mentality that has proved so lucrative and protective to the self-serving vermin within our ranks.

Consider the position of  the victims of clerical abuse: many were derided by their own friends for speaking out and bringing ‘shame to their church’ even though many knew the rumours of sexual abuse were true decades ago they facilitated the evil by their silence and compounded their complicity by attacking those brave souls who plucked up the courage to eventually speak out.

A truly disgusting and shameful attitude I am sure you agree.

So, if we can see this in regards to those who have spoken out to expose sexual abuse in the churches, why are we so harsh towards the victims of Nick Griffin?

Evil only flourishes when good men/women remain SILENT.

The truth will out and people who have been forced to speak out need our SUPPORT not further attacks just because they have pointed out the ‘crimes’ of those self-serving lowlifes who now control our movement.

To victimise the victims would be a real travesty and plays into the hands of those guilty men who have almost destroyed the nationalist movement already.

Attacking the whistle blowers takes the focus off the real gangsters and lowlife conmen who sit in party HQ benefiting from their exploitation of our cause.

Ask yourself, what have the various former party officers who have given interviews to Panorama seen - or been exposed to - in the past that Nick Griffin is so scared of?

Will they tell tales of Nazi salutes or anti-Semitic ranting? NO. They are speaking out about corruption, fraud, theft, deception, nepotism and the financial greed of certain individuals.

Let us look at the situation like grownups and then it will make sense why Nick Griffin has a vested interest in presenting the Panorama programme as a state/Searchlight plot against nationalism in general.

Yes, our movement will look bad, that’s because right now it IS bad, and it was made that way by the greedy incompetence of the Griffin family and his Solidarity leech Pat Harrington and Co.

But an expose on such a scale like Panorama could make a new era possible for nationalism by helping to severely weaken the death grip of Nick Griffin. It’s either that or four more years of unchallenged supremacy for him, his family and his cronies.

These charlatans have dragged our Cause into the gutter by their actions and were allowed to do so by OUR passive compliance and silence.

So, we all share the blame to some degree or other and must not allow ourselves to perpetuate the situation by lashing out at the whistle blowers.

Maybe if we had not all been so harsh on previous whistle blowers Griffin and Co would not have developed into the all consuming parasites they now are.

This is a burden we all must bear unfortunately.

Is it ‘treason’ when Simon Darby, Nick Griffin etc give interviews to the BBC or the media? No.

But why then, is it ‘treason’ and ‘unforgiveable’, when other nationalists give interviews to the media?

The only difference is this: when you say a bad word about Nick Griffin, it is TREASON, but when he goes on the BBC, it is FINE.

It is thus ONLY treason when it is not to the benefit of Nick Griffin or his family interests.

Nick Griffin has launched a pre-Panorama propaganda campaign. His strategy is to take advantage of nationalists’ entrenched hatred of the media to try and turn everyone against something forthcoming which is only really impacting on HIM and his own credibility, career and financial interests.

Nick Griffin is only upset because his own incompetence and financial shenanigans look set to be beamed out to millions of people, bringing his own career to an abrupt halt, not the British nationalist movement.

Once again Nick Griffin is tricking everyone into thinking that any attack on him is a disaster for nationalism – rubbish, quite the opposite in fact.

Panorama will be a warning to the next naive crop of gullible people to stay away from his money-making machine and that is really why he is so agitated.

He has already surrounded himself with a new crop of Regional Organisers who are almost, to a man, star-struck newcomers with no experience of working close to him and seeing for themselves how he operates.

Nick Griffin has brought all of this on his own head.

To say that it is okay for Nick Griffin to use the media at his whim to further his OWN interests and to give his OWN point of view, but nobody else can, is completely WRONG.

Nick Griffin’s strategy is clear: transform anyone who opposes to him into a TRAITOR.

This is why Nick Griffin’s twitter account has been saturated with endless waffle about all his opponents being ‘state’, ‘police touts’, ‘Searchlight grasses’, and so on.

Quite a clever strategy, actually. One which takes full advantage of all the prejudices and dislikes of traditional nationalists regarding the media, but relies on nationalist naivety and trust - don’t be fooled AGAIN by this expert deceiver.

The media – and especially the BBC – ARE enemies of the British people. But if it is okay for Griffin, Darby and so on, to have dealt with them thousands of times, why is it all of a sudden wrong to do so now?

What would have happened if all former senior nationalists – those ‘in the know’ – would have refused to give interviews to the BBC?

The Nick Griffin scam would have continued to prosper, and he would have continued to tie up a significant portion of nationalism’s activists in a toxic, corrupt, discredited dead end.

What if you were one of the many British businessmen who has been brought to the edge of bankruptcy (at least one patriotic family business now ruined) by Griffin and Co. Are you not allowed to alert the world?

What do we ‘tight lipped’ patriots tell the wives and children of the nine nationalist print-workers now thrown onto the dole by OUR party leader’s financial shenanigans?

What if you had worked for years to build a small family business only to have been forced to close your business and lay off your British workers because Griffin refused to pay your invoices?

Are we to act as Griffin’s protectors by attacking the injured party?

Is exposing Sepp Blatter an attack on FIFA and the sport of football? Of course not.

Is exposing Nick Griffin an attack on nationalism in general? Of course not.

What if you are a former loyal BNP employee who resigned due to the discovery of financial wrongdoing, deception and fraud, and the inaction of party officials to address the situation, despite hard evidence and a mountain of proof?

What then, who do you tell? The police? Up until Panorama became involved the police sat on all complaints – now thankfully, they are taking action.

Even ex-policeman and so-called ‘Sleaze Buster’, Michael Barnbrook, got nowhere reporting Griffin’s activities to the authorities.

The intervention of Panorama has now forced the authorities to act in order to save face over the years of inaction and strange disinterest regarding the many financial discrepancies within Griffin’s BNP.

Even the Electoral Commission has given Griffin unparalleled leniency despite never having submitted proper accounts for years. Why?

As we said before, it is in Nick Griffin’s personal vested interests to negate the damage to himself that the Panorama exposé will cause.

Only Nick Griffin, his dreams of re-election to the EU gravy train, his personal use of the BNP, the Trafalgar Club etc, as a family cash cow, will suffer as a result of this exposé.

Likewise, the dozens of payroll parasites he has surrounding him will also be nervous, as their personal financial future lies with the continuance of Nick Griffin as leader of the BNP.

Thus the Griffin cabal are nervous and have – understandably – started their pre-Panorama propaganda campaign, but we MUST NOT fall into line with their pathetic excuses or manoeuvres.

The mass media IS the enemy of nationalism, but let’s be grownup about it: nationalists gave given THOUSANDS of interviews before. Only now is it being presented as ‘treason’, much to the benefit of Nick Griffin and his payroll cronies.

It is disingenuous and even dangerous to say that it is  wrong when nationalists expose what Nick Griffin has been doing, but fine to appear on the Beeb any other time.

If anyone is a TRAITOR to the BNP, this country and OUR Cause, it is Nick Griffin, nobody else.

Panorama is only the start of his downfall. Soon we may see him having to answer some serious criminal allegations, which if charged and found guilty of could well see him in jail.

No doubt it will all be another state/Searchlight/Common Purpose plot to ‘get the BNP out of the way before the collapse comes’ (Griffin’s words).

I believe that those who have found the moral courage to speak out to the police, Panorama or whoever are HEROES and need all the support we can give them and their families as I am sure they will be the target of intimidation, threats and attacks over the next few months.

I will not take part in such behaviour and I will do all in my power to help and protect those true nationalists who have spoken out publically against the criminal scams, incompetence and illegal behaviour of so-called party leaders and officials.

Let us watch the programme before we erect the gallows for anyone just yet and let us not be sidelined away from the real issue by debating the merits of media engagement and use.

Those arguments pale into insignificance when the future of our movement, nation and people are at stake as they all are right now.
