Councillor Kevin Edwards has responded to the posting of this article.
Dear Editor
Yes, it is sad that Meirion has left the party for exactly the reasons that you have stated.
The article written by the editor of the South Wales Guardian is reasonably fair but as usual some serious points were omitted for fear of upsetting his employers the NUJ.
He refused to point out that five Plaid Cymru and one Labour Councillor where I sit are known to be active Searchlight Cymru operatives and supporters.
He refused to point out that I have demanded a by election to be held in one of the wards that make up Llandybie Council as a sitting Plaid Cymru Candidate has not been seen for over a year ! We have an excellent Candidate ready to fight the seat for the BNP and we cannot wait.
He refused to point out that after being interviewed for a documentary by S4C last year that both Meirion and myself were then subjected to a tirade of abuse from former Plaid Cymru Councillor and active Searchlight Cymru/Uaf operative Alun Lewis whilst delivering leaflets in my constituency.
It is believed that the same person then sent a letter to my then employer (anonymously) demanding that I be sacked as I was using my company car which had the company logo on the side for "Political Purposes." I was summonsed to a disciplinary where my then immediate manager laughed the accusations off as he was a member of Plaid Cymru and was well aware of the "Alun Lewis".
The Guardian also failed to point out that a Plaid Cymru Councillor sits on the planning committee and has never declared an interest on certain issues where the " Builder " in question is a very close relative !
There are a lot of other things happening that are worrying this corrupt and rotten Council to the core.
As for me my opponents can keep doing what they are doing and even more.
Nothing will separate me from the BNP.
